Pneumatic Ultrasonic Cutting Kit
- Various designs
- Tool interchangeability
- High speed
- Clean cut
- Cutting of, e.g., webbings, rubber, ropes, tubes, pipes, food products, etc.
Description
The ultrasonic cutting set is designed for applications requiring higher contact force. It creates clean cuts without waste or the need for tool cleaning.
Applications
For cutting webbings, rubber, ropes, tubes, pipes, or food products such as pastries, chocolates, cheeses, and more.
Due to the vast variety of existing plastic materials and their shapes, the suitability of ultrasonic cutting for a specific application must be tested in advance.
How does it work?
The material to be cut is placed on a work surface or secured in a fixture. The cutter is activated, and after the switch is engaged, the cutting sonotrode is pressed against the material via a pneumatic cylinder. Friction generates heat, melting the plastic, and the movement of the tool through the material onto the base completes the cut. Once the tool returns to its original position, the surfaces of the separated parts rapidly cool and solidify.
The cutting kit includes
- Pneumatically controlled stand
- Ultrasonic generator UZG10
- Ultrasonic transducer
- Cutting sonotrode
- Cutting base
- Foot switch (Not included in the standard delivery)
Sonotrode
The sonotrode is the component that is pressed against the material to create the cut.
