Handheld Ultrasonic Cutting Kit
|
Description
The ultrasonic cutting set is designed for the easy separation of objects made from various materials. Small axial deflection and movement of the cutting tool radically reduce the required cutting force. The result is a smooth, clean cut without material residue. At the same time, the vibration of the cutting tool ensures its self-cleaning. For repetitive tasks, the cutter can be mounted in a stand or other holder.
Applications
The ultrasonic cutting set can be used for cutting various objects; however, its suitability must always be tested beforehand. It is suitable, for example, for the easy cutting of unvulcanized rubber strips, and it is primarily used in tire production lines. Other applications include cutting synthetic fabrics, as well as various food products such as pastries, cakes, bars, chocolates, cheeses, etc.
How does it work?
By vibrating the ultrasonic transducer (piezoelectric converter) at a given frequency, electrical energy is converted into mechanical vibrations. These vibrations are amplified and transmitted through a sonotrode that is in contact with the material. The sonotrode oscillates in the axial direction. Microscopic friction occurs at the interface between the material and the sonotrode. This friction generates heat, which melts the plastic, and as the tool moves through the material down to the cutting base, the material is cut. Once the tool returns to its original position, the surfaces of the separated parts rapidly cool and solidify.
The cutting kit includes
- Ultrasonic generator UZG10
- Ultrasonic transducer
- Cutting sonotrode
- Power cable
- High-frequency cable
- Protective carrying case
Sonotrode
The sonotrode is the component that is pressed against the material to create the cut.
Materials used: aluminum, titanium, hardened steel
Handle design
- Pistol handle
- With cooling fan (bottom inlet)
- Without cooling fan (bottom inlet)
- Without cooling fan (inlet on the transducer)
- Straight handle
- Without cooling fan
Handle holder
A holder for the handle with the tool can be placed above the generator fan, which can be used for storage and simultaneously for faster cooling of the tool. Suitable only for smaller cutting tools up to 50 mm in diameter.
- Without holder
- Straight holder (for straight handle)
- Angled holder (for pistol grip)
